PROJECT SUMMARY
As part of the strategic plan to develop new predictive engineering services Bombardier Transportation made the decision to develop a new system to support its efforts.
The new system is to encapsulate the main functionality of the Phase 1 system developed by NVABLE and existing in-house systems. The primary goal of the new system is to provide a flexible architecture to allow the system to support large fleets of vehicles and implement new approaches to data selection.
Working with various Bombardier teams the first version of the new system was released mid 2007 and various enhancements are planned throughout 2008 and 2009.
